Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim apologised to fans after
the loss to India that saw him and Mahmudullah spurn chances to seal
the win.
“I know yesterday’s loss was heartbreaking for all of
you ... But everyone in the team gave their best ... so the loss was
very disheartening for me and the whole team," Mushfiq said on his
Facebook page on Thursday.
“I should not have got out that way … Maybe the team lost due to my fault … I apologize to the countrymen,” he added
“I hope to learn from this and will bring back the smiles on your face,” Mushfiq promised.
