Pakistan was disappointed after its loss to India in its second game of the ICC World T20 2016 in Kolkata, but, the team hoped to bounce back in a crucial clash against New Zealand on Wednesday (March 22), Ahmed Shehzad said.
“India versus Pakistan is always a big game and unfortunately, we couldn't make it this time as well,” said the Pakistan opener. “We all are really disappointed as we had worked quite hard throughout.”
Pakistan, asked to bat in the rain-hit match, scored 118 in 18 overs, before Virat Kohli guided India to a six-wicket win. "The pitch didn't play like the way we were expecting it to play. We committed a couple of mistakes as well, from which we will learn. But this is a big stage; we are here for the World Cup and we cannot afford to live in the past as we have other important games as well," said Shehzad.

games," he said when asked about playing high-pressure games in the
tournament. "But we have got to cope with pressure, which is something
experience brings.
“So you just have to be yourself; be humble, be polite and make sure your process (for any game) is good. This is what is expected of a professional."
Pakistan will take on New Zealand, who has been unbeaten in two Group 2 games so far, at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, and the team is wary of the threat posed by Kane Williamson's men.
"It is going to be an exciting game against New Zealand. They are on a winning streak and we need to put up a good show to beat a really good side. They have been reading the pitch really well and have been picking their team combination accordingly. There are a few players, who can be dangerous on their day, but, at the moment, they are playing as a team.
"To beat them, we have to be our best and we are ready for the challenge. Hopefully we can produce good results in the coming days," Shehzad said, adding that he believed the Mohali pitch held something for Pakistan's fast bowlers.
Pakistan will take on Australia in its final Super 10s game. It is currently placed second in Group 2, with one win from two games and a win against New Zealand will keep its semifinal hopes alive.
